What do you do to feel good?
The Big Question…. What do you do to feel good?
Everyone has their own things that really trip triggers. What is it that trips your trigger?
This morning I was out in my yard…for most of the morning. I actually mowed my grass, trimmed, watered and then tended to a few flowers.
If you knew me at all, you would know that this is a strange thing for me to do. I have a neighbor that I have paid for years to mow my lawn. I decided to cut back on some of my extra expenses…no pun intended…and he needs to have shoulder surgery. So I am now my own lawn boy or girl as the case would be. For years I have reacted badly to freshly mown grass. The mold down in the roots gets discombobulated when you mow and thrown up into my nasal… I’m sure of it…and then there is the grass itself. They both make me sneeze and sniffle… a lot. Alas, I am still alive and well and did not succumb to the allergies…too much.
I decided to just get ‘er done and you know what? I really enjoyed it. I love seeing my grass after "I" have done the work and made it pretty and it looks great…IMHO.
Springtime brings me a great big joy as I see the new flowers coming up, grass and tress turning green and I love to get into the soil and plant new things and just enjoy the warming of the soil, my house, my life.
So if you would have asked me a few months back if I liked to mow grass or trim I would have said NO!!! But now…I am having a change of heart and it’s now something that I look forward to doing.
Mowing on Monday…Wow, I actually look forward to Monday morning now.
So what do you do for fun or to feel good?
Have you discovered anything new for yourself lately? I really hope so and mostly, I hope that you find new and old ways of doing things that really help you to feel GOOD!!!!
